The Team

The Team at Kite Lounge is always full of fun and assistance. It doesn’t matter if the wind takes a break. They’ll still hang out doing fun and crazy things to fill the days in the Caribbean paradise.

When the wind kicks in, the beach is busy with lessons on how to manage this incredible sport. If you already know how to stay on the board with the kite in the air, these guys can easily teach tricks or waveriding on an advanced level as well.

Ben comes to us from Texas.  He was atracted to Cabarete by it’s fantastic lifestyle, and the opportunity to come and make a fun life in the Dominican Republic.  When not managing the kiteboarding school, Benenjoys mixing with the locals and exploring the Dominican country side.  Always happy to show you a good time after your kitesurfing lesson, as he’s right into the night life and Cabarete scene.

Ben is the manager of the kitesurfing school and will deal with all your questions when you arrive.

Alex Soto:  Alex is one of the top Dominicans in freestyle kiteboarding, and is currently competing for Team F-One.  One of the original kiteboarders, he is a happy and friendly instructor more than happy to teach you anything from the basics to the latest in kiteboarding moves.   He has been teaching kiteboarding for over 8 years and we are proud to have him as part of the Kite Lounge.

Raul:  Raul has been teaching kiteboarding for 4 years, and is a very successful kiter himself.  Fluent in English, Spanish and French, he is a pleasure to be around.  When not instructing, he is down in la boca, surfing the waves.
