Kite Beach in Cabarete presents ideal conditions for learning to kitesurf.

The wind is consistent, as we are in the perfect location with the trade winds with a thermal boot.  The wind also blows side onshore, so the wind blows you to safety in the event of a kiteboarding malfunction. The water is warm, so you don’t need to wear a wetsuit while learning to kiteboard.  The reef provides protection from the waves, or a perfect break if you want to kitesurf on the waves.

Our kiteboarding instructors are all IKO certified with 9 + years of experience teaching kiteboarding, and that’s  kite beach years of experience – all 4 seasons – which is longer than the average kitesurfing instructor’s career.

Our unique approach to kiteboarding instruction of including supervision time – which is time you spend practicing what you’ve learned after your lessons- allows students to progress at a more comfortable pace.  There’s no pressure on the instructor to pass you through lessons before you are ready.  This creates a safer environment for both the instructor and the student.  We have a tremendous success rate at creating kitesurfers.

We also use helmet radios for those who want it, but in our experience it’s too much information at once, and we prefer to teach you how to handle yourself before sending you out.

Most of our students choose to stay onsite with us at the eXtreme hotel .  By staying with us, you get the added benefit of no crowds in the morning, as well as the evening sea breeze – when everyone else has gone home – and have Kite beach all to yourself!
